Welcome!  If you are looking to obtain or renew a DOT health certificate, I am happy to help you out!  I am a Certified DOT Physical Examiner, certified by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration).  I have been performing DOT exams for the Grand Rapids and Northern Minnesota area for over 27 years, and have performed thousands of exams over that time.  My exams are thorough, and follow FMCSA guidelines.  I also work with many area employers to perform DOT exams for their employees.

An examination takes about a half an hour.  You will need to bring your driver's license, and any corrective lenses you may wear for distance vision.  You will need to list what medications you are taking.  You will need to produce urine specimen as well.

You will receive your heath certificate the day of the exam, providing you meet the FMCSA guidelines.  Certification is for two years, however, certain health conditions and certain medications may limit your certification to one year, or less.
